Balkan Underdogs- anyone adopted from/know anything about?

Decided it's the right time for us to have a new member of the family.

I'd been looking for a rescue cav (have posted before) but not been able to find one that wasn't an ex breeder needing a resident dog already here.

I came across Balkan Underdogs and have fallen in love with a lovely little girl on there, says good with kids and cats. I'm not sure what mix of breeds, she is gorgeous!

But I'm not sure how it all works, and wondered if anyone knows anything about?
Do they need to go in quarantine after they've travelled over?

TIA :)

Balken Underdogs are amazing! I adopted my dog from them 2 yrs ago, I waited 6 months after adopting him due to all the proper legal medical checks, paper work etc etc etc, couldn’t recommend them enough! They are on hand 24/7 for support and on going advice 👍

Great rescue organisation - trustworthy, sensible and amazing. All quarantine stuff is done before they travel to UK apart from sometimes a 24 hour additional DEFRA check in a UK approved kennel. No problems with this either. If you talk to BU, they can reassure you and talk you through it all but don't hesitate - go get it!

Pleased to say that Balkan Underdogs are still here and alive and kicking. Their Charity has grown somewhat now and have the only Spay and Neuter programme for the local dogs in this area of Serbia. These are free and there is a waiting list. All dogs are fully tested, vaccinated and neutered before travel. They are titred for Rabies and all have negative Brucellosis tests. All the dogs travel by a dedicated travel transport. Vetting Adopters is thorough and a lot of time is spent on managing their expectations so there are no behaviour issues that are unexpected. A private chat group for the adopter, a trustee and the original rescuer is set up and remains active for the lifetime of the dog. Full Rescue Back up is for life. I have my 2 beautiful dogs from them and have also fostered. Many of the adopters, like me, adopt another (Some even have 5!) which shows how much trust they have in the charity. Having owned dogs for 40 years they are by far the most professional, dedicated, compassionate and lovely charity I have come across.
