Would it be awful to pick jack Russell up at 7 weeks and 3 days old??

Just that really, we were intending to pick her up this Friday when she was 8 weeks old but the lady selling her has text to say that the other 4 pups have now gone to their new homes having just turned 7 weeks,

They are fully weaned and have been sleeping in a cage together for the last two weeks at night away from the mother who sleeps upstairs with owners so my pup is now in cage on her own as of today, so should I just pick her up tomorrow or wait until Friday? I'm a bit miffed that the owner has let the others go at 7 weeks tbh I though 8 was the earliest

Thanks in advance

I picked my pup up at 7 weeks and 3 days
They had had to be hand fed from 3 weeks though as the mum was too small to be able to feed 3 puppies (she is a tiny Jr) although they were still running about with her I think they were all getting too much
He has been fine, no issues, apart from now starting to hump everything (about to have his balls removed!)

If it's not with the mother or other puppies, then it makes no difference when you pick it up.

It will have missed out on a week of socialisation and bite inhibition though. But that will happen whether you collect now or in a week.

To be honest you should probably be worrying about what else the 'breeder' has cut corners on and considering whether this is the right person to be buying a puppy from...but I know that's hard when you're at the point of getting a much wanted puppy home.

I am a bit disappointed with the breeder tbh, they are a nice family and they tick all the boxes in as much as we have been to visit and bond with our pup several times, interacted with the mum who is a super dog and very good natured, we have saw the dad, pups been wormed, and we've had regular updates from the breeder on our pup and she had been using the name we've given her so she is getting used to it etc etc but for some reason she has let the rest go at 7 weeks, our pup will still spend the day with its mum but not at night so not sure what to do!

I would be a bit wary. I know a few small dog breeders including a Jack Russell breeder who don't let their pups leave until nearer 12 weeks as they are so small.

Have decided to leave her until she's 8 weeks although she's without her siblings she at least will have another week with her mum. Thanks for replies .
