Gresley isn't eating. Any ideas?

About 2 weeks ago Gresley had a funny tummy. He wasn't eating, not drinking too much either. The vet gave us some stuff to squirt into his mouth and he was fine. He was eating and drinking as normal.

Then the past 2 days he hasn't eaten much. He's just not seemed hungry at all.

We have an appointment with the vet at 2:30 but just wondered if anyone had any ideas what could be up with him?

Thanks

He's a golden retriever, not that it probably makes a difference.

Does make a difference as they never normally refuse food! Is he drinking? They can dehydrate quite quickly if they don't drink. Had anything changed? Was he on painkillers or anything? Keep us posted. Good luck at the vet.

He's been drinking as normal. You are very right as he never normally refuses food!

He hasn't been on painkillers. Nothing has changed that I can think off.

So he's had a jab of anti-inflammatory stuff, a lungworm jab and some stuff to stop him producing testosterone in case it's a bitch in season nearby.

Now we just need to hope one of them works.

Aww, good luck, try him on extra tasty but mild stuff liked tinned chappie, boiled chicken and rice etc. and previous posters are right, you know there is something wrong when a goldie refuses food!
