Any book recommendations for training a puppy?

We are looking for a really good puppy care/training book. Ideally one that is basic enough for children to share as well as being really good, practically. A Gina Ford for puppies would suit me well!

Gwen Bailey's The Perfect Puppy is a good one to start with, easy to read and has lots of pictures to explain training methods etc.

Thank you, I have ordered it now.

I wondered whether to get a 'how to crate train' book but then seems a bit much to have a whole book on the subject. Loads of advice on the Internet.

Thanks

Pamela Dennison's "Idiot's Guide to Positive Dog Training" is excellent. It clearly explains how dogs learn.
