Dog cocking its leg inside

Hi I have a five year old staff that has been as good as gold up to now.

Last month he weed up the side of my bed and has done it a couple of times since I have bought some spray that is supposed to stop the dog but it is not working. Has anyone got any ideas on how I can stop this?

No I only have one dog and the dog is not allowed to go upstairs and has never attempted to go upstairs when we are in.

Yes he has four years ago.

It could be because he isn't normally let upstairs it doesn't smell of him so he is scent marking it to make it.
