Old cat versus new dog -war!

I've got 2 3 year old cats and adopted a 6-7 month old dog at the beginning of February. Obviously he is very playful. The cats hate him and goad him and then scratch him. He then chases them......

Any ideas on how to achieve peace in the house?

Good Luck! I'm in the same situation, Asked on here for advice, Unfortunately my cat lives upstairs and my dog downstairs at the moment. There certainly is no harmony in my house.My Cat is terrified of the dog and the dog just chases her.
