Smelly Dog...

I have a lovely FCR called George, he's 7, has 3 legs and is a brilliant dog in general. I wfh (busy job) and have a dog walker as George needs to run for a good stretch every day. He loves his walker. Only thing is, he comes home and farts really disgusting smells literally all afternoon and evening - he's scavenging whilst he's out on the beach, park etc. Any recommendations for something I can add to his food to help? Feel it's unfair to expect walker to stop him scavenging (I have mentioned it to him), he runs off and is quite devious about doing it quickly etc.

I don't think there's a quick fix, wish there was. We've learnt from past experiences and now our lab stays on the lead in high risk areas where there's likely to be discarded food or rotting animal corpses, eg near the river (he has a talent for finding dead seagulls and ducks buried in river mud) and anywhere that people congregate and chuck food away such as parks, beach in summer etc. We've managed to find enough safe places to let him off lead so he still gets plenty of exercise.
Can you ask the walker to keep him on the lead in places where there's likely to be stuff to scavenge? Difficult if its someone doing you a favour as more work for them but a reasonable request if you're paying the going rate.

they are being paid - I'll suggest that to them. I understand that sometimes it happens but it's getting to be a daily whiffy situation!
