Well, our little Westie came in with one yesterday - obviously a dopey tick - preferred his blanket to him - but it was there.... fat and ugly and tick-like.... just the one.... was hoping to get to Easter without re-treating him, but I guess it is tick season already.....

Although there are spring and autumn peaks in activity, I find ticks on dogs all year round. It's a good idea to use something like Seresto or Advantix year round to prevent the bites.

round here we tend to get them through from end March to October - but I think we have had such a mild winter over here in the West that they are active earlier this year.... anyhow he has had his tea tree bath and will be treated at the weekend, as it always seems to work best a few days after his bath!
