Upside down puppy

I noticed that my new puppy likes to sleep with his head hanging down - his body on his bed (about 4in high) and his head sideways on the floor! He's really tiny so the 4in is a lot for him. Looks very uncomfortable. I keep changing his position while he sleeps but soon enough he's back with his head on the floor. Surely this can't be good? My common sense tells me he sleeps like this because he likes it so it can't be bad. But still...

Mine does that too though at 7 months now he is not so tiny now. He hang his head over the raised sides of his bed.

He also lays with his body on the sofa with legs stretched behind him. But he has his front paws on the floor and his nose nose on the floor. He is a terrier so not a big dog.

I think he is a little strange though as preferred sitting position is front paws on floor but bottom on your foot even if I have my leg crossed and foot off floor He wobbles all over!
