I've recently swapped my 7 month old Cocker Spaniel onto James Wellbeloved Junior, from the Royal Canin his breeder started him on, anyway;

  1. He's refusing to eat the lamb and rice favour, I have an unopened bag, do you think Pets at Home will swap it for another flavour? I have the reciept.
  1. I got talking to a pet shop owner while we were on holiday, he told me to move Ddog onto the adult food quite soon, as he's already adult sized, height and build wise, and the junior will be too high in protein for him. Any thoughts?

  1. They might swap but not definite as it's a food item. May as well try.
  2. JW is excellent food. Junior is what you need ... Your dog is 7 months old and his muscles, bones, growth plates, everything! are all still growing and changing.

I wasn't sure as its food but its unopened and I'm already down the bag he's refused, don't want to lose another £6.50. I wouldn't usually pander to fussy eating but clearly he'd rather starve than eat it.

It does seem early to move him onto adult food, he's still my baby. I did wonder what junior is for if it's not for this in between stage.
