pup started jumping up and ripping clothes.

Our pup is 16 weeks old and has been settling in really well.
we have been working on stopping her jumping up by ignoring her when we first walked unto the room then making a fuss when she stopped jumping up and sat down. she was doing really well with this and was hardly jumping up at all.
In the last few days however she has been jumping up and grabbing hold of our clothes with her teeth and shaking her head and growling.
She has a look in her eyes that is not like when she is playing, she has ripped dd's school tights, skirt and my jeans and three jumpers.
what can I do to stop her doing this? Are we doing something wrong?

Our puppy went through a stage of this. It was hard but in the persistance in turning our backs and ignoring him did pay off. We did loose an awful lot of clothes though and a couple of times I had to physically pick him up and put my fingers in the back of his mouth to break his attatchment. Your pup will grow out of this stage if you are consistant I am sure.

Persistence will work. Fold your arms, turn your back and ignore her until she's sitting, then make a huge fuss. Don't get involved in a tug of war with her over the clothing as that will make it a game for her.

Does she have a toy that she can bite and shake about? You could make sure she has lots of games like that with a toy, and she will learn that the toy is for biting and shaking, not clothes. My husky likes the kong tails for that. You might have to be careful with toys with stuffing, depending how much of a biter she is (some dogs are safe with them, some not, so you'd need to supervise).

Also make sure there is nothing on the worktops to tempt her. You can distract her with a toy or something when she starts jumping on the doors.
