I meant to mention this earlier when I posted.
I went to the local country park today after the vets. It's a massive and beautiful place and a Mecca for dogs .
I chat to anyone and everyone and soon got walking with a lady who had a springer collie x. She was a rescue from a farm.
Apparently, she wasn't good enough to work so the farmer left her in a shed for 8 years. Just pushed a bit of food through the door occasionally. She was half blind and her back legs were deformed from where the rats had nibbled her. However she tolerated my puppy pretty darn well, although he's not too in your face as puppies go tbh
Man, how in earth can anyone do that to a creature? All of you who work in rescue won't be surprised I shouldn't wonder but that did upset me.
I ain't feeling guilty anymore when our puppy tries to makes me feel bad for not playing with him 24/7 and follows me round like a stalker, that's for sure!! What a life he has I realise!
