Puppy has the runs

5 month old lab has very liquid poo, otherwise seems OK, have tried no food only water for most of yesterday, then very little kibble with plain yoghurt last night. This morning still runny and dragging his backside over the lawn. Should I try slippery elm or just keep starving? Pet store suggested Bob Martin stop diarrhoea tablets but they just seem like Rennies /calcium carbonate. Any ideas?

I wouldn't be giving a dog with an upset stomach yoghurt for starters, a lot of dogs are lactose intolerant.

I skip one meal, then give chicken and rice for 24 hours - if they're not any better after that then it's vet time.
