Lumpy ears

I wonder if anyone has any ideas as to what is wrong with my dogs ears. They are very lumpy, inside the skin. It is not one big lump but lots of smaller ones. This is in both ears. I did google ear hematoma, and it does seem similar, but like i said lots of small lumps. His ear is not mishapen, you only know the lumps are there if you touch his ears. any ideas?

My new pup is allergic to all sorts of things and when it flares up she gets a lumpy rash on her ear flaps. To begin with it isn't very noticable unless you run your fingers over the inside of her ear and then it feels all bumpy. Later on it seems to rise to the surface and gets red and itchy but that takes a while.

Is it that kind of thing? I've only had a dog with a hematoma once and that was the whole flap filled with blood.

Probably worth a trip to the vet.

No there is no redness or itchyness. We have seen vet, they didnt have a clue. The lupms have been constant since we got him.

It is the whole ear, but not one big lump, just lots of smaller ones.
