Going to meet a slightly older puppy today. I'm hoping that she hits it off with my boy as he needs a friend. Fingers crossed please! I rescued my boy when he was 20 weeks, skin and bone, living outside on concrete with bald patches. A lot of TLC and he's gorgeous, our vet commented that it was lovely to see a basset that hadn't been overbred, could run long distances and could see! I just hope that this pup is right for him as he's lonely.

good luck hope it all goes well your poor lad certainly didnt have a good start how can people do this to animals why get a puppy and treat him like that

What sort of pup is it?

TheFunPolice · 26/01/2013 20:44

Basset hound. Sadly she's too young for us. We need a 6 month old minimum. So if you know of any going let me know! My basset boy loved her but was trying to hide from her by the end!

There are 3 Basset Hounds on Many Tears website - this is one of them www.manytearsrescue.org/display_mtar_dog.php?id=6023

I have a very young child so don't think they'd allow us to adopt.

There was a thread on here (week or two ago) asking about people's experiences with MT and most found them good and more flexible than other rescues - might be worth giving them a ring... I think it would be in your favour that you already have a Basset etc
