How big is your average Springer spaniel?

A friend wants me to make a dog coat for her Springer. Does anyone know what average size they are around the chest and along the back? When I google size I just tend to get weight and height.

Any help much appreciated!

Springers can vary greatly in their size...my working girl is very small at 14.5kg, 62 cm collar to tail, 40 cm height to shoulder.

average Springer height/weight
Height: male 48 - 56 cm Females 46 - 51 cm
Weight:male 20 - 25 kg Females 18 - 23 kg

average Springer back length should be about the same as their height (though mine is not)

they have a deep chest average is 45-62cm measured just behind front legs

show type tend to be larger and more heavily built than working type.

Thank you, that's really helpful. I have repeatedly asked for the dog's measurements but she hasn't supplied them.

There appear to be many mistakes in the pattern so I'll call this a first 'draft' and rip it back if it doesn't fit.
