Your sofas are full of upside down farting greyhounds, and you and DH are sat on the hard chairs.

This usually happens to us at least once over a weekend.

This is a lovely thread Smile I've found myself nodding along sagely to lots of it too!

Maybedog is nearly 15. He has been on his last legs more than once, but I think he'll be with us forever

I took him to the vet this week for a check up and new prescription for his arthritis meds - £180 Shock He has lost a couple of kilos so she has prescribed a diet of treats. He is to be given toast and honey, toast and jam, biscuits, cake, pasta, rice... He will be eating better than we will!

threestepsforward what kind of steps does your dog have to get on the bed? I am being woken up about 3 times a night by a dog who can get his front half on the bed but needs the hind quarters lifting on. It's like having a baby again, we're shattered!

Our 2 girls get a cup of tea each time we have one, they love it and its cold at the moment! (I try to justify but it's really because their spoilt).

They also get porridge for breakfast!

I love this thread - but I am not going to let my two read it, because I don't want them getting any more ideas!!

When the dogs come upstairs for a cuddle on the bed, ddog2 will stand by the door of the en suite until I let her in, and run the cold tap so she can have a drink from the sink.

And then dh and I smile indulgently as she leaps onto the bed and settles down between him and me - she is the third person in my marriage. But we do make them go downstairs to their beds when it is time for us to go to sleep.

You actually consider trying to persuade your DH to buy a house round the corner (that you can't in your wildest dreams afford) because it has an outdoor heated shower room that would be perfect for showering down filthy hounds that have rolled in fox poo! And you think they'd quite like the swimming pool - never mind that they have a whole beach to walk and swim on everyday! :)
