Another vote for Hazel Corner. Been using them for 11 years now.

If you have a very well-behaved large male dog I can recommend somewhere fabulous near Hitchin too (dear friend of mine runs a dog sitting in her home business). Sadly my dog is not well-behaved enough to stay with her.
