I had to collect a group of rescue dogs today and the pick up point was in Watford. The dogs had had a 7 hour journey already so needed some exercise before the next stage of the journey.
One of the dogs is extremely reactive to other dogs but the only place to walk was a country park in Watford.
As I was walking him I could just hear the MN thread about walking reactive dogs in busy areas!.
However the Watford dogs and owners are fantastic! It was a busy park full of off lead dogs, that were sociable polite obviously used to meeting other dogs. They were gentle with the reactive dog, gave him a wide berth, the owners were receptive, calm and extremely tolerant and allowed 100 of BAT opportunities.
Thank you if any of you where there
6 new rescue dogs now asleep after an exciting day.......anyone need a new dog?
