I want to buy an irish terrier but can't find one....

Hello, we want to buy a male, irish terrier pup and can't find one. Am in the process of trying the ITA which hasn't got back to me and have tried a couple of breeders with no puppies. Anyone got any ideas?

It's another on the KC Vulnerable Native Breeds list, like Sealyhams (see links on other thread )& my Skyes, so very few puppies around. You usually have to go on a long waiting list.

I applied for one from Many Tears when we were first looking for a dog but she had already gone. I did look at breeders as they sounded such a nice breed but cold find any. We have a working cocker spaniel instead!

What area are you? I have friends who breed them, are there any breeders on the KC website?
