Best dry complete food for senior dog?

My nanny is looking for a quality dry food to feed her 7yr old medium sized mixed breed. He is prone to the occasional patch of dry flakey skin.

Have had a look online on a site called 'whichdogfood.co.uk' and have come up with a few possibilities (Orijen or Eden) but wondered what others feed their older dogs?

I did sugest a raw diet like my dogs are on but this is just not practical for her at the moment. Although he does get given a meaty bone/scraps on the days she brings him with her to avoid fights between him and my mob(farmers with on site butchery so always plenty of quality fresh scraps to be had).

I'm in a similar position, would like to feed raw but can't at the moment for practical reasons. I feed my two Orijen dry food and every few days or so the NatureDiet wet trays in a Kong to liven things up a bit.

SpicyDog was quite picky before the pup came along (now she'll eat anything he will, which is pretty much everything!) and really enjoyed it above other dry foods we tried.

Oh, meant to say, they are both healthy on it. Small firm poo, shiny coats and good skin. SpicyDog is a badly bred rescue staffie x so I think it says a lot that she often gets complimented on her lovely coat

Skinners do a fab range. They will send you samples if you drop them a line.

Flaky skin could be improved with a splash of oil in with the dinner.

I get mine delivered by a franchise called trophie pet food. They come round and meet the woofers and recommend the best feed for them.

My 7.5 year old hound gets Skinners Senior and Light kibble with a little bit of Naturediet in a Kong or mixed on top for variety, and she looks pretty good on it. Fish4Dogs Salmon Oil is great for clearing up flaky skin, as is adding some sardines to the kibble a couple of times a week.
