Out walking in the park yesterday and dog went totally hyper splashing in the flooded river. We then took him into a walled garden area and he took a running jump at a wall and vaulted it, without realising there was an 8-foot drop the other side of it! He landed in an empty flowerbed, shook himself off and carried on running. I cannot believe he hasn't done himself some damage but seems perfectly fine, not limping or anything.
Is there anything I should be doing? Could he have done some unseen damage to ligaments/joints?
He's a 20 month-old cockapoo, about the size of a springer spaniel, just to put that 8 feet into perspective.

That must have given you a fright! Someone who know more will probably be along soon so I will just give you a drinkWine. Sounds like it probably shook you up more than him though...

If the ground wasn't frozen, an empty flowerbed was probably the best thing he could have landed in! I'm sure he will be fine...
