Our 7 month old lab is lively to say the least and when being walked off the lead has a habit of running off with other dogs and not coming back. We have been attending obedience classes for a few weeks now and she is coming along nicely.
This afternoon we met three lots of dogs with their owners while walking on the golf course. Usually we try to get her back on the lead but today i thought i would see what would happen if i kept walking and called her to come. To my absolute joy and amazement she came almost immediately each time and did not look back.
I am so proud. I actually never thought we would ever be able to do this! It just goes to show that persevering at training really works!
