Bite, mouth, bite, mouth - is this a sign?

Permapup, 15 weeks bites/mouths excitedly when greeting you, when playing with you, at your feet when you're at the table, so on and so forth. It's like she expresses herself through it. Have I got a dog who will be an adult biter or a normal/very teethy puppy?

Doing all the methods, none of which seem to work.....changed her food too, help!

What breed. Some are more shark like than others.

She's a mini schnauzer, had her for 7 weeks.

Sound like she's simply trying to get your attention. My Lab is 7 months and still sneakily mouths my hand when she wants fuss or food.

She does it whilst she has my attention tho! Even when stroking her she just naturally mouths, it's like all her love is in her teeth!

I'm fairly sure my puppy has those joke shop wind up teeth fitted, if he concentrates really hard then he can stop biting, but if anything happens at all then his mouth starts opening all by itself, lol

You just have to keep at it. It will stop. When she bites let her know its not nice and stop engaging. Once she realises its not rewarding she'll stop.

Obviously they need plenty of approved items to chew for hurty new teeth

We Call PruPup the piranha. 15 weeks here too. Sounds very familiar with the teeth-love thing, she's all sweetness and light then next minute its eyes rolled back, mouth open, frantically mouthing around for something to sink the pins into. We're just following Honey's suggestions and it seems to be (very) slowly reducing in frequency and ferocity...

We used to call our pup snappy snapster! 6 month old lab. She is now much better and only mouths at my feet/hands if she wants fed or wants a walk/attention. She has far better control now. Just keep swapping your feet/hands for allowed chew toys and it will get better.

Fairly normal puppy I think, peppa (staff) used to do it, we allowed the mouthing but if she got too strong, a stern "no" and ignoring her got the message across. Has worked on all undesirable behaviours so far, except jumping up at guests which is still very much work in progress!

My rescue dog mouthed all the time when we got her, but with persistent dis-engagement every time, she realised it wasn't a good trick. Never does it now.

My cocker was awful. I would say she was around 5 months before it calmed down. My poor ds's feet were ripped to shreds. I must admit to being close to the end of the line because of it but she's great now. When she plays she still likes to mouth but it's much more gentle now and she's 1 1/2.

My Staffie is 2 and mouths very enthusiastically when excited. We've only had her a few months, and have been training her not to, but she forgets herself sometimes.
Not cool really.

She nibbles ears too, you know the way they scratch themselves with their teeth? That's quite sore, but she doesnt get hold of ears too often. unless she's just floored a child.
