Best boots for dog walking?

Anyone have any recommendations?

My old crocs ones are on their last legs, I need something a bit warmer than wellies with a good tred for the muddy bits and I have broad feet and fat calves. So I was thinking of Muck boots or bog boots or Superlite?

I've just bought some mucker boots. Only ahd them a fortnight, but they are comfy and warm and are holding up well to trudging through fields twice a day.

I got waterproof thermal-lined boots from a Guardian reader offer for £29.99 last winter and they are brilliant! They say Clifford James on the label.

I've got some very comfortable Mountain Horse yard boots which I love - very waterproof and warm, and comfortable to walk in, though not the smartest! For dry days (remember them!) I have some Clarks walking shoes/boots, sort of like a lightweight walking boot.

Muck Boots, definitely. They are waterproof and neoprene lined so they keep your feet toasty, but do cost upwards of £60 (so about the same price as Hunter wellies, but much better!). They are also very generous in the calf and they stretch, and if you go for the Esk style, the tread is like that of a tractor tyre. My DD wouldn't be without hers.
