Lost my beautiful boy today

The day finally came when he decided that he didn't want to go on any longer and we quietly let him slip away this morning. Horrendous. But it was dignified and peaceful and he is at rest now and no longer in pain. My beautiful boy, I love you and miss you and wish it wasn't so. You have fought for so long and been so brave.

You poor thing. Losing a dog is awful and yours sounds like he was great.

I'm glad he is at peace now x

Our beloved cat died unexpectedly last week so I do sympathise. Thinking of you.....

I lost my wonderful dog in May (age 17) so I know how hard it is, even when it's the kindest thing you can do for them. Thinking of you.

I'm sorry charliefox and dippy :( we lost ours last year and it is just absolutely awful. You just have to concentrate on what a lovely life they had x

Thanks everyone for your kind words. It does bring some small comfort, as it acknowledges the loss. Have cried my face raw and am now sporting baggy eyes and a lovely flakey dry nose!

So sorry to hear that, we lost our dog back in August, still look around the house thinking she is still here. Hold on to your lovely memories.
