She was my parent's dog but they got her while I still lived at home and I go there about every other weekend so I consider her our family dog iyswim
She was only 9
she had pancreatitis just over a year ago and we nearly lost her there but she pulled through albeit on a special diet etc. she collapsed on Wednesday and when she went to the vet they thought she'd twisted her back and gave painkillers. Then this morning my dad found her outside hiding under a hedge. They took her to the vet again (had to carry her in as she couldn't walk) they found liquid on her heart which they drained and then had to be transferred to a specialist heart place.
By this time she'd perked up a bit (from the fluid being drained) but when they scanned her they found a huge tumour on her heart... They'd been no symptoms.
My mum phoned me at work and I cried all over my poor colleague. Going there now and just so sad for our other dog.
