Pet insurance for dog

Can anyone recommend any good pet insurance companies for a dog. My previous insurer was Argos and never had an issues and only 1 claim approx 2 years ago. This year they decided to double my premium so I can cancelled it. Looking online it seems pet insurance has generally gone up across the board so just wanted any recommendations. Thanks

We use Tesco and LV. I really don't know. Look into what cover you may want, and go with that. This will depend on breed, neutering status, where you live, whether you want limited cover....Or third party...

I have just cancelled my pet insurance. Our oldest dog is 12 and has been insured all his life with pet plan. His policy is still running, you never know! But jnr is 2 and because we have never made a claim for dog snr, we made a decision not to continue with jnrs. We have set up a dd into an acct for him though of £20 a month. Just in case. We just weighed up the odds!

Tesco for all FOUR NorksTerriers.
We have recouped all of the premiums JUST from DTerrier3, who is accident prone

Ours is with Lv and costs less than£10/ month.
Had 1 huge £500 bill last year when our dog ingested poison. She was very poorly and we have got what we've paid in and more.

AXA - one of the most comprehensive covers I could find for the price. They settled our claim earlier in the year quickly and in full.

PetPlan are the best. Speaking from personal experience, they paid vet in excess of ?3000 directly and in full and in less than 7 days. www.petplan.co.uk/my-petplan/customer-stories.asp
Wise to take out insurance. Better to be safe than sorry imo. You never know whats round the corner and vet bills can be very expensive especially if a specialist referral is required. I would have been lost without PetPlan as I don't have a spare ?3000 just sitting in an account.

Petplan or Tescos
