Ok, my lovely soon to be 8 year old boxer is about to get a bucket load of stress as our new DD is due imminently (he got stress related alopecia during my last pg) and has been exceptionally clingy the last few weeks as the due date looms.
Is there anything anyone has used / heard of that I can give him like echinechia for people I guess, just to help keep him at his best?

Really not an expert on doggie nutrition but have you tried a DAP spray or diffuser or collar? It releases calming hormones that are supposed to soothe dogs - it's quite popular at this time of year for firework-stressed pets, and you can get them from the vet's or online.

A behaviourist might have more practical suggestions for exercises to calm the clinginess.
