We are considering taking on a 4 month old Airedale mix at the moment but have no idea what they're like!.
Some info. I'm a SAHM with two dcs under 5 ( one nearly 2) do they make good family pets? I've heard they can be a bit stubborn but as its a mix ( not sure what its mixed with but is beigy coloured?!) hoping its not too stubborn for training.
What do you think?

There is a fantastic website called Planet Airedale which is worth looking at (though there's probably no going back once you've had a browse around it!).

I love them! Had one as a child, he was completely loopy, but was my db's all time best friend! I'd recommend really good training though. Loopy plus strong is not a good combination when being walked on a lead!
PS Envy!

We lost our Airedale last year and we miss him dreadfully. An Airedale cross might be even better than a pure Airedale too. Airedales can be aloof and hard to train, ours was very prone to running off when the fancy took him and I know alot of Airedales that are kept on the lead at all times. Again, a cross breed may be easier to train? They don't drop hairs like some dogs too! Good luck.
