Apart from stag bars (which aren't cheap) what other things can I give 8 month old retriever. Is rawhide ok?

Chicken wings. Raw meaty bones (most butchers give these for free) Trotters and snouts (again see your butcher)

Mine won't eat rawhide.

Rawhide lasts precisely 0.6 seconds in this house. My boy is partial to hooves / hoof (sp?!)
