Best head collar for a pointy nose?

I sometimes look after my friends large, beautiful, lovely lurcher - can you tell I love him? Anyway when he comes to stay with my mini-pack he gets a bit excited and starts pulling on the way to the park and did I mention he's a big lurcher? Grin

He's owner has tried a halti but it's not comfy for him, can anyone recommend a type suitable for a pointy nose?

Another bump - really no one out there that uses a head collar with a pointy face?

I have a skinny pointy-faced lab and we use a halti. It may be that you just need to persevere with it - mine hated it with a passion at first, tried to paw it off for ages and we just had to keep putting it on, giving him a treat, taking him out on it for brief periods etc. Now he's mainly fine with it (although still tries to rub it off against my legs if we stop when out on a walk). Works best if we clip it onto his collar (and the lead then on the collar too) rather than direct to the lead, as the pull from it is then a bit gentler. They're not really meant to be comfy else they don't work very well at stopping them pulling! :)

We use a canny collar ,have also tried the halti but find the canny better as you don't lead from under the chin but from behind the head like a normal collar .

Thanks guys! It'll only be needed when he comes to stay with us so I was hoping we could find one he wouldn't hate. Smile

I had a canny for my schnauzer so maybe we'll try that next.
