Best flea treatment

Having successfully de flead the house and cats I'm now looking for the best treatment to use on our big furball. He's 22 week old long coat Akita. I used Wilkies spot on treatment a couple of weeks back but he's still scratching away. Is frontline and advantage still the best? and what format is best tablet or spot on? Going to take him to pets at home to get weighed but will probably shop around online for best prices on treatment.

Frontline doesn't work anymore, Advocate is great, I used Advantage last time which seems to have worked on my cats but not my dog. You can get a flea injection from the vet which I've heard is good, lasts for longer than a month, think it might be 6 months.

Frontline still seems to work for my 2 terriers. I only put it on them when I see a flea though (first time in August for several years), although why that should make a difference to its efficacy is beyond me.

I found frontline didn't work on my cat or dog either and now use advocate it worms as well ask your vet for advice on what's best for you.

Frontline was useless on mine so I switched to Advocate.
