Does anyone own one of these gorgeous dogs?

I am looking to getting into one, i know they suffer with skin problems etc.

Would be lovely to hear what they are like!!

I regularly bump into a lady that has 2, she loves them but says that they are not for the inexperienced. As charle has mentioned they are expensive and require a lot of looking after and regular maintenance of ears and wrinkles. They are also essentially a guarding breed that has also been used for fighting so temperament can be an issue. She said that they have recently increased in popularity which has led to the back-yard breeders getting in to them, which is never a good thing for a breed.

I have done an animal course at college and have previous dogs. But i dont think i am as excited as i was before.

Think i might settle for a Scottish terrier now!

Super expensive to insure, very dominate personalities as I recall and where I live they are quickly becoming the new "status" dogs :(

a friend of mine has one she has a lovely temp by all accounts although she has had to have the op for her eyes

I'm a vet nurse and this is the one breed I am always very wary of! Very unpredictable and riddled with horrible health issues. I just have to look at one and I start itching. Their fur is very spikey!
