What Did You Do With Your Dog's Ashes?

The Old Boy's Ashes are at the vets and I have to go and pick them up this week.
I don't know what to do with them :(
What have others done?

I have three engraved boxes of ashes. It is so sad when they go, you have my sympathy. I have asked that they be put in my coffin when I am cremated, so we can all go up in a puff of smoke together (or again in their case!). I don't like scattering ashes - I did both my parents in the meadow of the house they owned. Of course it was sold, and I am sorry I can't visit the place where they are anymore.

My first lurcher was cremated when she was pts 9 years ago and I still have the box with her ashes sitting on my dresser under her picture.
I was intending to scatter her on Brown Clee (Shropshire) where we had so many lovely walks but I moved her with me as I felt she would be lonely up there (silly I know)
As my current lurcher is over 13 yo and visibly getting older and weaker when he is PTS I will bury/scatter them together so they won't be lonely. Sad

Flowers for all of you who have recently lost your beloved dogs.

They are in a pot on the shelf in the dining room. A Chinese dog either side to protect him, a photo of him and a knitted version of him made by DD are on the same shelf. Someone has put a dog biscuit on top f the pot.

Very apt thread for me as tomorrow will be one year since our rescue dog passed away,in our arms in the back of our car on a hot sunny early Sunday morning Sad
My dad picked up her ashes for us as I couldn't face it at the time and up until yesterday they have been at my mums house sat peacefully in the spare bedroom however they're currently on top of my wardrobe as we have bought a lovely lemon tree and a little plaque and tomorrow we will be scattering her ashes around the tree in her favourite hot spot in our back garden as a family.
Kind of dreading it but also will be lovely to have her home x
