Who could possibly mind my dog for a week or two, we are going through a terrible time and while I wouldnt entertain rehoming her, she simply isnt getting what she needs from us at the moment.

I cant afford kennel fees, and I think she would absolutely hate kennels to be honest, she would be so sad, she is a big lab, but gentle as a baby. She needs brushing and walking and it isnt happening, Id take her to groomers first so she wouldnt be all hairy.

I am a long standing mumsnetter who name changes a lot!!!

Or even someone who could take her out with their dogs for a walk, I know its a huge ask, but if I told you what is happening, you would understand.

Scuttle is either in wales or has contacts in wales or both -terrible memory- try PMing her.

It's not illness as such, it's difficult to say much for legal reasons, right now, I don't think things will ever be brighter but somehow we have to find a way through this.

Well I am in NE -so a half a days drive at least- but if I can help at all feel free to get in touch.

Thank you so much, that's so lovely, DH has just woken and he says our family is broken enough, he doesn't want her to go anywhere, so I've said I will see if I can get help so she gets a few good walks in over the next few weeks.

Everything is just so fucked up.

What's her recall like? Is she ok with other dogs?

She is absolutely fine with other dogs, she has perfect recall (for all of us at least), if for some reason she doesn't come back when you call her, a sharp clap of the hands does it.

She is fine with children of all shapes and sizes.

Thanks so much, have school/playgroup run DD goes at 9.30 and is picked up at 12.00 and then DS at 15.20.

Its a big weight off my mind as I know poor dog isn't getting attention and its just one less thing to worry about, just a couple of times would be great.

I have her booked into groomers on Friday afternoon, so at least I wont have to feel guilty about her not being brushed.

If I could take you both up on that offer that would be amazing.

Thanks mine is a lab - she loves other labs our friends have 2 - but they are away for 3 weeks - it's just getting her walked for a few weeks while I get my head around things.

I will text in the morning and come and collect her for walks!!
