I have a Lhasa Apso who will be 2 next month.
Most of the time he is quite happy to socialise with other dogs but over the last few weeks has occasionally growled and snapped when meeting new dogs or ones he doesn't know very well. This is normally at dogs bigger than him and so far no one has retaliated. It makes no difference if he is on or off the lead.
How is the best way to handle this? Do I tell him off?
I don't know which dogs he will do this too and as he doesn't do it all the time I don't want to stop him meeting other dogs.
