DD and wants to call him Hector (which I like) DH is not so keen, the only name we seem to be able to agree on is Ben.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'll try to add a photo to my profile.

definitely Hector! Soon you will have to rename your home Hector's House!

CandiceMariePratt · 24/08/2012 13:04

What a lovely dog! I would call him Henry.

TeaOneSugar · 24/08/2012 13:54

Henry's a nice name.

He looks like a Herbie or a Harry to me. Gorgeous pics Smile

We chose the name for our puppy before he arrived last week and then discovered it was too similar to our others dogs name. The only name we could all agree on was Wilson (AKA castaway with Tom Hanks) it came about when we couldnt catch him in the garden "come back Wilson" and when my DH accidentally trod on his paw "I'm sorry Wilson!" Much to our surprise it really suits him.

I think dh is coming around to hector, we'll be seeing him on Sunday so I think we might test it out.

Everyone seems to agree he needs a H name anyway :)

you'll need to check that the dog responds to his name too - with our dog we went through a few names before we found one that made her pay attention to us :)

AnotherLoad · 24/08/2012 21:05

Aww cute :)

Harvey???

AnotherLoad · 24/08/2012 21:06

sorry was meant to add hector is great :)

Can anyone offer advice on grooming, or should I start a new thread?

We've only had springers before, they both had a working dog short back and sides, I think this little boy is going to need something more refined.

I'll be calling our usual groomer, but I could do with some advice on what to ask for, and when to start, I'd like to keep him looking like a show cocker for now, at least while he's a baby.

Ohhh! He's really lovely!

Hector is a great name.

SrirachaGirl · 25/08/2012 18:37

Ohhhhhhh . He's looooovely. I like Hector and Ben; maybe Ben a little bit more. Enjoy him Smile.

We went to see him today, and had lots of cuddles, his parents are both stunning and also wanted lots of fuss and attention.

We can't wait to pick him up in three weeks.
