Days out with the dogs in Wales

Due to dog sitter cancelling at the last minute, we are now taking our 2 year old and 5 month old labs on holiday to North Wales with us. Leaving them alone at any point is not an option so am now faced with the prospect of entertaining 3 dcs and 2 dogs for a week! Long shot but has anyone got any recommendations for days out?

Talacre beach at Point of Ayr lighthouse is where we walk and always see dogs lolloping over the sand.. They seem to love it there as there's a large expanse of empty beach and dunes to nose in.

Thanks for the suggestions - remember going to talacre beach as a child! Lots of suggestions on the links as well - criccieth castle is a great suggestion!
