Can anyone recommend a good dog rescue centre in or near Suffolk?

I live in south Suffolk, so could travel to north Essex, east Cambridgeshire or Norwich area easily enough. Has anyone found a good rescue centre they can recommend using to find a dog?

We've been waiting a long time to be able to have a furry four-legged family member. I'm very excited.

it is very exciting. I wouldn't be without our dog, he is a totally adored member of the family (and my baby!).

Okay, so I have registered with one dog rescue in Essex, who want to come and do a home check. I'm also registering with the Blue Cross in Felixstowe. Is it okay to go ahead and get home checked by the Essex one, if I am also looking in other places? I know I sort of asked this already. I just want to be sure. I feel this gives us the best chance of finding a suitable dog. The Blue Cross has the advantage of being local and the Essex rescue has many of its dogs in foster homes, which I like.

We got our puppy from Heathlands which is based in Royston if I remember correctly. Although fosters dogs out- we picked ours up from a lady near Wimpole Hall.
