How do you open the Ruff and Tuff treat ball?

I've just bought one of these for my dog, but cant open the thing to put the treats in and adjust the difficulty. Instructions say to twist anti clockwise and then pull apart.

I've been twisting and pulling for half an hour and it wont budge. What am I doing wrong?

is it a black and yellow one? if so, I've just got one for my dog as well and she loves it. it is hard to pull apart - just make sure you have fully twisted it first.

I gave in yesterday and took it to Pets at Home. A man there opened it easily, I did it too so all good.

I drove home, tried again and couldn't open it. I can't believe I'm too stupid to work a dog toy
