Kennels.....

So we are going on holiday in a week and a bit for 7 days. Peppa is off to kennels. We have booked her in at my pet stop, and she is booked for 2 walks a day, doggy day care in the week through the day (big indoor open area where she can run round like a loony and socialise with other dogs under supervision)
She is also booked in for 2 daily one on one exercise sessions with squeaky toy on the weekend days on top of her walks.
I'm just really worried about her time in the actual kennel, she is a real people person and I think she is going to be horribly depressed :0(
I feel so guilty about it. Does anyone else use kennels with their dogs?

My dog and my mum's dog go to mypetstop together. It's bloody expensive but they are really well looked after there. Mum's dog is 17 now and they really take good care of him (although I am somewhat Hmm at their policy of charging a fee to give him a tablet each day). She will be fine - the doggy day care completely knackers them and they have a great time (and they are constantly being played with in there - there's always someone throwing toys for them and so on). It sounds like you have got loads of activities booked for her (must be costing £££!) and I would think that when she's in the actual kennel she will crash out and sleep. Don't forget too that there are other dogs barking, they leave a radio on, and the kennel assistants are constantly coming and going - she won't feel isolated.

My tip would be pay the tenner and get them to give her a bath on the day you pick her up. She'll need it Grin
