Worried about Obvious Dog

Jay is very nearly 10 and has mild hip displaysia and associated arthritis. He's a border collie. He's always struggled to keep weight on so I've been a bit concerned that he feels slim (what I would expect apprx 17/18 kilos to feel like) but actually weighs just over 20.

My vet friend had a feel of him and he was very uncomfortable when gently pressed in the bladder/prostate/lower bowel region. He's also drinking more, he's always been a camel and would never drink but he's had at least 5 drinks today for example.

I took him to the vet yesterday and she wants to take bloods on Monday and see where to go from there.

Please keep your fingers crossed for my kind, gentle soul mate :(

Fingers crossed for Jay. Hope the test results are back quickly so you know whats wrong, if anything.

I am always worried about my dog getting old, he is only 2 at the moment but I tend not to take any time together for granted as I had a bad experience with my previous pup.
