doggie modelling?

I'm not sure what response I will get for this but here goes: we have a very attractive dog that attracts attention wherever we take him due to his looks. It occurred to me yesterday that he could well have a successful career as a doggie model, do any MNers have experience of doggie modelling agencies etc?

If your dog is going to model, it has to be very well trained. If you know any tv producers, they may be able to help. There are a few animal wranglers out there. You could look it up and find out where tv companies get their animals from. There used to be a film-makers bible called the Knowledge. I don't know if they still produce it. I last owned one about 20 years ago!

thanks easy, I was also thinking about tv or photo ads, maybe I just have to google around a bit, but I'd prefer to have a bit of guidance from someone who has done it before as I haven't a clue really where to start!

You can register him with an animal talent agency and take it from there. If he is going to be in films, then he has to be very well trained - able to walk to a mark, and so on (some places even have courses to teach such things). The other thing is that sometimes local photographers advertise for doggy models in the free ads (at least they do around here) and that might be another way to get into it.

I may out myself if I post a pic, as he's quite unique looking! Let me see if I can find one though...
