my 12wk pup is constantly on the pry for food, in the kitchen, under the dinning table, if one of us get up she thinks its to go and get her food. the most annoying is when i take her out for walks - her nose is permanantly stuck to the floor, pulling on the leash to go and eat something.

I bought her a retractable lead but cant make it long because she use its lenght to go hunt down some food!!!

she's great with 'leave it' command indoors. I even take chicken (her fav) with me to do swaps, but not interested in me just tries to gulp down what she got in her mouth before i get it out - nearly loosing a few fingers as she seems possession agressive??

I have a crate and she does go in it to sleep and get some peace, ive tried once to put her in there while we eat dinner, i put a stuffed kong in with her but when she'd had enough of it she got her self into a right state :(

is it just my dog? i watch other people with their dogs on nice relaxed walks and think......one day! :)

Another hoover over here! He's 8 months now and doing much better but in the beginning he was terrible. I never realised how many used tissues there were lying around our neighbourhood, but our pup used to make a beeline for them all

i really hope she grows out of it! i cant enjoy our walks with out having to tackle the dog for choclate wrappers, mouldy food, leaves, and all sorts that fall out the trees, plums/berries etc.....she was even licking the grass for god knows what was spilt there!!!

I was beginning to think i was under feeding her, but ive done untold
reasearch to get the portion info & she is on the right amout Confused

Have you taken her to puppy training? Once she gets the hang of how to behave on walkies it'll be much easier Smile
