Quick question re: chicken backbone

I've just spatchcocked a chicken for BBQ tonight, can I give the backbone to the pup? She's 5 months old been fed raw from the off, but only ready blitzed chicken and bone/cartilage. She's never had a whole bone.

I wouldn't. Cooked chicken bones can splinter really easily and could perforate her gut.

No - uncooked is better than cooked, but I wouldn't risk it.

Thanks for answers - it was raw, and I tried it.... went down rather well!
