Dogs energy levels.

My friend has a very high energy Lab, even for a Lab he seems a bit mental. She doesn't find it a problem as she enjoys the walks etc.

However she has recently made a dog walking friend who has a Bassett that is pretty low energy, as you can imagine and she has found when Lab is out with Bassett he seems to calm down a lot more and possibly 'feeds' off her energy levels.

Has anyone else found this to be true?

Anyone?

Has she totally made it up? Grin

I've found it tends to be more the other way round, i.e. a normally calm dog getting wound up by an excitable one! I guess it could work both ways though, dogs are social animals and do pick up 'cues' from each other on how to behave.
