puppy is 6 month old male. recall not bad, and up untill about a week ago he would sit and wait at a distance. all of a sudden he seems to have selective hearing, when he does (eventually) sit i walk towards him, telling him to wait and then when i get there he just goes crazy, jumping biting, racing around, wont let me near him. indoors he is as soppy as anything. any tips x

Sorry no tips but he is becoming a teenager! The best way to deal with it is by going back to basics.

The teenager phase is the worst one imo maybe because I'm going through it now too they gain selective hearing a seem to learn bad habits every day.

I'm sure if you just keep going over your basic commands and step up the recall training he'll be fine.

I would not walk towards him. When you are outside call him and run away from him. This will make recall fun, quick, fast and more reliable. You can work on his wait at home when feeding when getting him out of the car etc
