This is my face right now -> Grin

It's conditional upon getting a satisfactory reference (fine) and completing an essay (not so fine) but let's just ignore that part for now.

I got a place in college. I got a place in college.

I applied ages ago and never had so much as a confirmation email. I assumed they'd just turned me down.

Yay it was brilliant. I did it a while ago so many of the lecturers have changed. I loved every minute of it. Are you doing the distance course or attending. I did distance course and meet loads of lovely people a real mix of doggy types, rescue, obedience, gundogs, RAF handlers, assistance dogs, agility, etc.

herbertjane · 28/06/2012 14:13

Me too I loved it. (although you do meet some dodgy types there SnoopyKnine!) Made friends for life and got loads of experience

LovelyMuffins · 28/06/2012 14:21

Ddoin, I am just looking up breeders on champdogs to see if any have litters planned or due. I have registered so that I get notifications too. I have also requested notifications for labrador retrievers . I have been googling like crazy today to see if there are any real differences between Golden Rets and labradors but it seems to be 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. Some people seem to think goldens are more affectionate and slightly cleverer but I have a suspicion that is a personal viewpoint and not based on fact (though I will gladly be put right on that point if anyone is in the know!) The main difference seems to be the level of moulting! Does anyone know? Oh and congratulations Ddoin, how fantastic for you :-)

D0oinMeCleanin · 28/06/2012 14:25

Distance but with a residential.

I already know a few people in rescue so I'm going to try and convince them to let me my work experience with them. Especially because they have a lovely sandy coloured staffy x that I need. He chases cats Sad

I've never had a Golden Muffins, but Labs are very affectionate and very moulty. Very clever dogs, though, they need a lot of stimulation. But I guess you know that by now. Good luck with your search.

TheCunnyFunt · 28/06/2012 19:29

Oooh well done! Do you start in september then?

:o @ D0oinMeTrainin do it!!

Where is Bishop Burton? I swear that's near me, I'm always hearing adverts for it on the radio.

ditavonteesed · 29/06/2012 09:19

congratulations :) and yy to the name change, must be done.

D0oinMeCleanin · 29/06/2012 14:01

Yup it's starts in September. I actually have a Saturday night off for once, so I'm gonna write my essay then before emptying the spirits cupboard Grin

I might change my name when it starts. Atm cleanin' is all I seem to be doin' but I think I've managed to sort out a new routine that fits in iwth my new shift pattern and am keeping on top of things without running round in circles in stressing myself out.

Dd1 is now on board (for payment of course Hmm) and is kicking her father's arse (literally, one night apparently Grin) to get him to pick up after himself.

I actually have no idea where Bishop Burton is Blush
