Is he too thin?

Patch is 7 months old. Probably Staffy, but possibly with a cross in there somewhere. He's 14.5kg now, but he's really quite skinny, I think?

When he's curled up beside me, I can see his ribs move when he breathes, but they are relatively well covered - The last two are clearly visible, and I can just see a ripple in the fur over the others. However, when he's outside, if he runs, every single rib, muscle, etc., is absolutely defined. Is that normal?

He is fed 'gusto' in 2 meals per day. I give him around 300g split between the meals (the packet suggests 260 per day). But he is always ravenous. If he can get near the bag, he shoves his head in as far as it will go and scoff as much as possible. He can eat his dinner in around 1.5 minutes.

He looks fine to me - I'm assuming that's him in the photos?

I've had dogs that would eat until they were sick, it's not really an indication of being actually hungry, lol

He looks fine to me too!

He looks in great condition in your photos. My labs devour their food in under 30 seconds and would keep going until they were sick (and would then eat the sick).

That's him in the photos, but he was only 5 months old then. In fact those photos were taken exactly two months ago (I checked back to my 'is he really a staffy?' thread). He's put on 2.5kg in weight since then, but I think he's much skinnier.

Looks perfect to me in the photos. Really puppies and adolescent dogs should be on the lean side, its healthier for developing joints and muscles. He will fill out once he slows down on the growing I promise. And yes, he looks like a staffy to me.
